Environmental education is the first step to caring for the planet.
Greenspace Dallas is deeply committed to environmental education, recognizing its pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future. By fostering awareness and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards, we equip young minds with the knowledge and skills to tackle pressing ecological challenges. Our diverse educational activities are at the heart of this mission. Our program offerings include:
The Trinity River Crew - a collaboration with the Trinity Park Conservancy, which empowers high-potential youth from historically marginalized areas to engage in meaningful paid summer conservation projects across the Trinity River Corridor.
The Conservation Trip to Big Bend Ranch State Park - an annual excursion which provides high school youth immersive experiences in conservation, teamwork, leadership, and outdoor exploration.
The Keep Dallas Beautiful initiative - in partnership with the City of Dallas Code Department, this collective effort aims to combat litter and preserve our natural environment and promote a greener, healthier city for all.

Meet the amazing Trinity River Crew ('TRC' for short).
The Trinity River Crew provides meaningful, paid conservation work experience, education, leadership skills, and professional development training to high-potential youth from historically marginalized areas along the Trinity River. This program will create a collaborative youth employment framework that can act as a model throughout the entire Trinity River Corridor.
Texan by Nature named the Trinity River Crew as one of six 2020 Conservation Wranglers from across Texas. These are conservation projects recognized for their science-based and results-driven approach to conservation along with their ability to positively impact people, prosperity, and natural resources.
Trinity River Crew is a joint Conservation Corps program of Greenspace Dallas and Trinity Park Conservancy.
